The Montreal Diet Dispensary welcomed the Minister of Family, Mrs. Charbonneau, on Friday September 4, 2015. Upon this visit, the Miniser exchanged with the care givers who, daily, support pregnant women living in poverty, provide them with help so that they eat better and give birth to healthy weight babies.
“The Dispensary offers individualized support, receptiveness to the culture of the family and a place where the mother, and the father, have access to resources, acquire new food and parental knowledge and skills, all within a community spirit, explained Mrs. Marie-Christine Lemerise, President of the Board. We appreciate the opportunity we had to present the issues on which we have been working for many years and make the Minister aware of the stakes which we are confronted.”
